About Video

This video shows pterygium excision with CRATER technique by Professor AK Jain. This video highlights traction sutures, conjunctival resection, medial rectus bridling, extended tenon’s removal, avulsing the head, lateral rectus bridling, head avulsed, measuring scleral bed and conjunctival graft fixed to underlying scleral bed using fibrin glue. All margins of graft are closely apposed to the surrounding native conjunctiva. The gentian violet marks help to identify edges of the graft.
