This video clip showing two-dimensional transesophageal echocardiography. Myxomatous mitral valve with chordae rupture. The arrow in the 4- and 2-chamber views point to thickened mitral valve leaflets consistent with myxomatous degenerative changes and chordae rupture. There was no evidence of infection. (LA: Left atrium; LV: Left ventricle; RA: Right atrium; RV: Right ventricle).
