This video clip depicts subcostal four-chamber view. The view useful to corroborate right ventricular size; here it is normal. Free movement of the pericardial layers relative to each other can be appreciated. This view allows one to observe the longest stretch of pericardium. There is no pleural or pericardial effusion or ascites (MV: Mitral valve; LA: Left atrium; LV: Left ventricle; RA: Right atrium; RV: Right ventricle; TV: Tricuspid valve).
