About Video

In this video demonstrates the preparing and draping the area, direct C-arm towards the sacrococcygeal junction and take AP image to view the transverse process of coccyx. Put metal marker on most inferior aspect of the sacral hiatus. The needle entry point is about 1 cm lateral to the lateral border of coccyx. After infiltration with 1% lignocaine, take a 22 or 25 g spinal needle with slightly bending the tip (20–30°) and advance under fluoroscopic guidance. The needle trajectory is angled to directly contact lateral aspect of coccyx, thus, giving tactile sensation. The needle is then carefully advanced in lateral view with tip just anterior to anterior margin of coccyx. Inject 1 mL of omnipaque and confirm in AP and lateral view.
