Hair Transplant 360 for Assistants (Volume 2)
by Emina Karamanovski VanceThis video describes of the splitting follicular units. Sometimes hairs grow intertwined and dissection may be initiated at the top and then completed at the bottom, always gently maneuvering the blade and avoiding transection. The exception to the rules of dissecting from the top of the tissue is observed when splitting a two-hair FU to create one-hair grafts when the cut is made from the bottom up. When splitting a two-hair FU, we start at the bottom because hairs usually splay providing the space for the blade to initiate the cut. Then, the blade is slightly moved upward, gently wedged between hairs until the two hairs split apart.
