This video demonstrates the progression of slivering, always visualizing the path of the blade before cutting the tissue. The yellow line demonstrates the path of the blade as the slivering begins and progresses. This video presents blade movement during slivering. Notice how the tip of the blade is gently working its way between hair follicles, sometimes rotating to separate them without transection. It presents forceps being repositioned on the sliver once before completely isolating one sliver. Notice that the traction is away and down toward the cutting surface. It displays a piece of tissue that is getting narrow and challenging to sliver until the end.
