About Video

This video shows a patient with a parasymphyseal and condylar fracture with an open-bite as well as a cross-bite deformity. After performing an inter-maxillary fixation, a vestibular incision is taken, and the fracture fragment is identified. It is then reduced, taking utmost care to prevent any soft tissue from being trapped between the two fragments of the fracture. The fragments are then fixed using plates and screws. Following surgery, the improvement in the bite is evident.
