About Video

Nasal tip reconstruction can be challenging, especially after excision of full thickness defects. The modified Rintala’s advancement flap is an excellent choice for the reconstruction of this difficult area. It is a superiorly based randomized flap, which is relatively free from the chances of ischemia or necrosis, and allows for an aesthetic reconstruction of the nasal tip, with good color match, tissue coverage and flap viability. It is a midline flap that can obviate the need for a forehead flap. It can even be used for the reconstruction of up to half of the superior columella. The use of this flap has been demonstrated here on this video.
