About Video

Peeling of ILM (Internal limiting membrane) First, a thorough fully vitrectomy is performed to minimize the risk of retinal rupture due to traction by the vitreous in the periphery. After that the ILM is stained by ICG to facilitate the peeling of the membrane. The peeling is now performed starting centrally around the macula hole and ending by peeling in the periphery.
