This video shows the modified Hummelsheim procedure in which one corrects a squint due to a paralysis of the cranial nerve. This is modified by splitting the superior and inferior rectus muscles and transferring them laterally with a suture. The procedure gives good results and allows good amount of vertical movement as well. A good preoperative squint evaluation is a must.
