Textbook of Anatomy and Physiology for GNM Students
First Edition: 2017

We dedicate this work to the untiring students in the field of nursing to achieve their long cherished dreams and light lamps of hope in the minds of patients.
Learning Anatomy and Physiology has always been a difficult task for the nursing students. This is partly due to the lack of a simple and complete book on the subject.
This book is exclusively intended and designed for the General Nursing and Midwifery students across the country. It is strictly in accordance with their syllabus; the main objective of which is to help the students gain knowledge of the structure and functions of the human body, and recognize any change from normal health in order to render effective nursing services.
A humble attempt is being made to make the topics as simple as possible and student-friendly. Model question papers of previous years (including Microbiology) are added.
It is the constant encouragement of students and staff of various medical and nursing colleges of Kerala, which has prompted me to embark on this task. This work has been done in a very short time in the midst of heavy schedule of the department and it is very likely that there may be certain omissions and discrepancies in the text. I will be happy and thankful for the valuable comments and suggestions from faculty and students to improve the work in future editions.
I hope the students will enjoy reading this book and not only benefit in mastering the subject but also achieve success in their academic goal.
