In this era of rapid growth and research, the need for antimicrobial guidelines and prevention of antimicrobial resistance cannot be overemphasized. The need for such universal guidelines has been felt by all practicing pediatricians at all times during prescriptions. We present this manual as an effort to answer those needs. We sincerely hope that everyone finds these guidelines helpful in good and ethical prescription of antimicrobials. Included here are the pattern of microorganism sensitivity found at our institute which may also help in decision on prescription of drugs for similar organisms where extended sensitivity testing is not available.
We hope this endeavor benefits one and all.
