This operative chapter focuses exclusively on the surgeon’s role during hair transplant that includes hairline design, anesthesia, donor harvesting and wound closure, and recipient-site creation. Highlight the requisite techniques necessary for performing total follicular unit transplantation, using exclusively FUGs, and combination grafting, i.e. using both single follicular-unit grafts and multiple follicular-unit grafts. In the listing of instrumentation at the beginning of this chapter, the instruments used for recipient-site creation are described.
