Abstract

Nursing intervention is a systematic approach in developing a plan of action based on a careful assessment. The nurse uses a scientific process to determine a client\'s immediate and long range needs in order to help the client achieve a higher level of psychological and physical wellness. Goals or expected outcomes are predictions of what the client hopes to attain given his or her strengths and needs. A care plan is an essential part of health care and a blue-print for action. Implementation is the initiation and completion of action necessary to achieve the outcomes or objectives defined in planning stage.
