It gives me an immense pleasure and satisfaction to introduce text on Basic Concepts on Nursing Procedures. This book assists the beginning student in a technical or professional nursing programme to form a broad understanding of what nursing care to be provided for person under stress, which alters his or her degree of wellness.
Our patients look to and depend on us in the nursing profession to provide the highest quality care possible. To meet the needs of patient and the demand of a market driven health care system, nurses must have quick and easy access to a full range of nursing interventions presented in a clear, easy to use format.
Basic concepts on Nursing Procedures outlines the principles and steps that are clear, concise and easy to follow format. The information provided is based on established knowledge, practice and backed by sound scientific principles.
The main objective of this book is to give the complete extract of the important procedures in the nursing which will meet the needs of today's nursing care demand. This book is prepared according to the nursing practice syllabus.
The contents of this book include almost all procedures and the principles. Each procedure is divided in such a way that it has definitions, purposes, indications, classifications, factors influences, principles, general instructions, preliminary assessment, preparation of the patient and environment, equipment, procedure, post-procedure care and complications.
This book will be helpful for BSc nursing as well as general nursing students. It is a boon for all nursing educators and for those, who have keen interest to strengthen their knowledge to provide the preventive, promotive, curative and rehabilitative care for the patients they serve.
