The aim of this IAPS textbook is to update the postgraduate students in Pediatric Surgery. It also gives appropriate guidance to general practitioners and family physicians regarding early diagnosis and care of surgical problems in children. This book comprised of 9 sections that include general topics in pediatric surgery, trauma and allied, head face and neck, chest and thorax, abdomen, oncology, urology, transplantation, and miscellaneous, which are further divided into 95 chapters. The publication of the present volume is justified as it provides updated comprehensive knowledge on every aspect of pediatric surgical practice. Although this book is written for Indian medical practitioners, and its use well extends beyond the geographic territories of India. Chapters in this book are written exclusively by experienced pediatric surgeons and physicians. Thus each of them has exhibited their practical wisdom throughout the pages of this compendium.
