Learning is a key process in human behavior. All living is learning. Learning, in psychology, is the process by which a relatively lasting change in potential behavior occurs, because of practice or experience. Learning is also a process of acquiring modifications in existing knowledge, skills, habits or tendencies through experience, practice or exercise. This chapter covers the nature of learning, characteristics of learning, types of learning, factors that influence learning, factors related to learning process, and factors affecting learning. Learning is a comprehensive process. The success of this process depends not only upon the effective teaching but also upon so many group factors. The factors related with the learner, the teacher and the environment are seen responsible as a determinant of quantity, nature and speed of learning. The main factors that affect learning may be mentioned as follows as factors belonging to the learner, factors belonging to the teacher, and environmental factors.
