The quality of an educational program depends, to a large extent upon the organizational framework within which it operates. A school of nursing, like other educational institutions, can operate effectively only if it is well organized and has the support of administration and the controlling authority. Any organization (government, private, trust, mission, voluntary, etc. registered under society act) who wants to open a school/college of nursing, shall obtain the essentiality certificate from the state govt. On the assessment of Indian Nursing Council, if the institution is found suitable to start the program, Indian Nursing Council, shall write to the state nursing council/ university/board for inspection.
