Abstract

The objective of this chapter is to introduce the printed aids following as pamphlets and leaflets. A pamphlet is an unbound booklet. It may consist of a single sheet of paper that is printed on both sides and folded in half, in thirds or in fourth, or it may consist of a few pages that are folded in half and stapled at the crease to make a simple book. A leaflet is a written or pictorial message on a single sheet of paper, which may be folded in half, in thirds or in fourths. It may be printed on both sides of paper. A leaflet should contain more details than a poster. But leaflet that is too detailed is rarely read and understood. A booklet is particularly useful for topics, which have a high degree of public interest such as baby care, prevention of heart diseases, etc. A brochure is also a treatise published on a special occasion for a specific purpose.
