This chapter discusses panel discussion and symposium. A panel consists of a few members who come prepared to exchange ideas and views on particular subject under the leadership of a chairman. Panel should consist of four to eight members. Panel discussion consists of three components—the members of the panel, the chairman and the audience. Panel topic and each member’s assignment should be carefully done in advance. Symposium technique is one of the techniques of higher learning. It is an instructional technique, which is used to achieve higher cognitive and affective objectives. The purpose of symposium is to investigate a problem from several point view and to boost students’ ability to speak in group.
