Abstract

Cardiac tumors include benign and malignant neoplasms arising the cardiac chambers or in the myocardium. Penetrating or non-penetrating injury can cause cardiac trauma. Usually, patients do not survive for treatment. Patient who do survive require surgical treatment. Emergency surgery will be performed. Depends on the involvement of injury, procedure can be performed. Wound closure, valve repair or replacement, patch graft of septum atrial or ventricular wall, are the usual procedure performed in trauma repair.
