Antipsychotics are medicines that are mainly used to treat schizophrenia or mania caused by bipolar disorder. Antipsychotic includes phenothiazine and miscellaneous. Phenothiazine includes chlorpromazine, fluphenazine, prochlorperazine, thioridazine, and trifluoperazine. Miscellaneous include aripirazole, clozapine, haloperidol, lithium, olanzapine, paliperidone, quetiapine, risperidone, and ziprasidone. Common side effects are sedation, dry mouth, constipation, hypotension, dry eyes, blurred vision, and photosensitivity. Serious side effect includes agranulocytosis, laryngospasm, NMS, and seizures.
