Atlas of Urogynecologic Surgery

by Tajnoos Yazdany, Donald R Ostergard

The aim of this Atlas book is to focus on Urogynecologic Surgery. This book provides the opportunity to describe procedures in the field of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS) that have withstood the test of time. The aim of this book is to describe FPMRS procedures that endure through time in a simplified, straight-forward way. This book comprised of 11 sections, which include pre-surgical prepatation, patient positioning for open, vaginal, laparoscopic and robotic surgery, general vaginal and vulvar procedures, vaginal surgery for apical pelvic organ prolapse, vaginal surgery for anterior and posterior compartment prolapse, urinary incontinence procedures, other urethral procedures, bladder procedures and repairs, laparoscopic and robotic approaches, fecal incontinence procedures, and dealing with postoperative mesh complications, which are further divided into 28 chapters. This new textbook covers the urogynecology surgical field in detail. Surgical procedures, using native tissue without mesh reinforcement, are now more important to learn to do correctly and efficiently to correct these pelvic floor defects. This book provides images, videos and tips that will be useful as trainees perfect their own surgical technique.
