The aim of this FOGSI’s textbook is to focus on the Gynaecology. This textbook has been a labor of love. Training in obstetrics and gynaecology is based on clinical exposure and a strong foundation of knowledge. There are some immutable aspects related to basic sciences in every field, but knowledge is constantly evolving. This book is divided into 2 volumes following as Obstetrics and Gynaecology, encompassing every aspect of our everchanging and evolving field. This second volume is on Gynaecology. Author begins with contraception and pregnancy termination, to highlight the importance of a woman’s choice to motherhood. The next sections cover the basics of the reproductive cycle, including chapters on neuroendocrine development, puberty and adolescence going on to menopause and then cover basic ultrasound and diagnostic techniques. There are three dedicated sections on the care, management and operative aspects in general gynaecological conditions and then move on to specialized topics like infertility, endoscopy, urogynaecology and oncology, giving our readers a 360-degree viewpoint of every aspect of gynaecology.
