Color Atlas of Retina & Optic Nervee

by Mohan Rajan, Nicey Roy Thomas

An atlas of common retinal and optic nerve disorders that provide a visual guide to the diagnosis of the full spectrum of retinal disease, including early and later stages of the disease. This book consists of more than 500 archetypal images which have been categorized into 15 chapters. The images are followed by a small snippet that highlights salient features of the disease entity. The unique feature of this atlas is that author presented color fundus photographs with images of relevant investigations for each disease which gives a good overview thereby enabling the readers to diagnose these ocular conditions with ease. Each topic is introduced by a paragraph of comprehensive and distilled information, followed by a series of good quality fundus photographs to demonstrate the important as well as subtle features. The book covers not only the common diseases such as diabetic retinopathy, retinopathy of prematurity, etc. but also the relatively uncommon ones such as choroideremia. There is a separate section on pediatric retinal disorders which covers the common disorders such as retinopathy of prematurity, familial exudative vitreoretinopathy, colobomas etc. This book is an essential source to all ophthalmologists, especially postgraduates and residents, to review fundus pathologies.
