This book focuses on evidence based core topics in critical care medicine 2019. Critical care medicine is a medical specialty concerned with the diagnosis and management of critically ill patients who are recovering from conditions that could result in life-threatening organ failure. This book has been organized and sponsored by the Asia Pacific Association of Critical Care Medicine (APACCM) to assist dissemination of the available evidence in the field. The book has been exclusively written by 85 authors, who practice in the Asia Pacific regions intensive care environment, and as such provides a contemporary overview of the practice intensive care medicine in our region. This book comprised of 4 sections that include general assessment and support in critically ill, organ dysfunction, specific syndromes, and organ support in critical care, which are further divided into 50 chapters. All chapters are written by experienced experts in their respective fields. This book is very useful for the physicians who trained in critical care medicine work in hospital-based settings, usually in intensive care units.
