The aim of this book is to focus on the essentials of oral and maxillofacial radiology. Radiology is an essential tool in the diagnosis and treatment of dental problems. Dentists are often the first to encounter lesions of the face and jaws. This book is a practical guide to oral and maxillofacial radiology. This book comprised of 7 section that mainly focus on introduction to dental radiography, physics of ionizing radiation, radiation and health physics, imaging principles, imaging techniques, radiographic diagnosis of pathology affecting the jaws, and role of maxillofacial radiology in specialized dental fields, which are further divided into 32 chapters. The second edition of this book has been updated, and new material has been added as suggested by the readers. The chapters have been revised to coincide with trends, technical advances, and changes in the health care system. This book is comprehensively designed for both undergraduate and postgraduate students covering all the basics in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology. The text has been simplified to enable the undergraduate students to easily understand, and at the same time there is sufficient in-depth information for the postgraduates to use it as a reference tool.
