by Rashmi Sarkar, Surabhi Sinha

The aim of this book is to focus on the treatment modalities and cosmeceuticals of the sensitive skin. The subject of “sensitive skin” has always been intriguing. In practice, skin which is unable to tolerate repeated use of topical products, cosmetics, and cosmeceuticals is in essence “sensitive skin.” This can refer to dry skin, red skin, easily irritated skin, and skin at different stages of life—in infancy, geriatric age, and even topical steroid damaged face. This book consists of 14 chapters, which include sensitive skin care, skin care of acne vulgaris in sensitive skin, skin care in sensitive skin of rosacea, topical steroid damaged, skin care in dermatitis and psoriasis in patients with sensitive skin, cosmetic intolerance syndrome, dermatological products for sensitive skin, care of sensitive skin in newborns, skin care of aged skin, dermatological procedures in sensitive skin, skin care products for sensitive skin, and moisturizers in sensitive skin. Special emphasis is also given to use of cosmetic products and dermatosurgical procedures in sensitive skin. The book is the need of the hour.
