Genetics is the study of science in relation to inheritance of characters from one generation to the other generation. Gene is the structural and functional unit of chromosome that brings out a particular character of an individual. Karyotyping is the process by which the pairs of chromosomes are identified, arranged in an order, numbered and grouped. Homozygous is a pair of genes with similar character at a particular locus. Heterozygous is a pair of genes with different form of allele in a particular locus.
