The objective of this chapter is to introduce the antiarthritics. Antiarthritic is a drug that acts against arthritis. This chapter covers the allopurinol, glucosamine, diacerein, etodolac, nimesulide, and bromelain along with their indication, dose, contraindication, precaution, adverse effect, and drug interaction. Calcium renal calculus, recurrent, and cancer are the indications of allopurinol. Concomitant use of didanosine, and hypersensitivity to allopurinol are the contraindications of antiarthritics. Osteoarthritis is the indication of diacerein. Pregnancy, lactation, hypersensitivity to anthraquinone derivatives are the contraindications of diacerein.
