This book focuses on human neuroanatomy. Human neuroanatomy provides a thorough and comprehensive overview of the human brain and spinal cord for medical and graduate students as well as residents in the clinical neurosciences. This book consists of 16 chapters, which include introduction to nervous system, external features of spinal cord, internal features of spinal cord, external features of brainstem, internal features of brainstem, cranial nerves, pathways of special senses, cerebellum, diencephalon, external features of cerebral hemispheres, white matter of cerebral hemispheres, basal nuclei (basal ganglia), limbic system and reticular formation, autonomic nervous system, ventricles of the brain and CSF circulation, and meninges and blood supply of brain. The language has been very simplified so that all students can understand the subject better. New dissection photographs which are of high resolution have been added as eight plates at the beginning of the book. More line diagrams, tables and new flowcharts have been added to facilitate easy understanding. This edition will also help the undergraduate medical students to achieve the required competencies of understanding and describing the gross anatomy of central and peripheral nervous systems and correlating the anatomical basis of clinical manifestations.
