When a solute is dissolved in a solvent, then the mixture formed is called a solution. The solute is the substance which is dissolved and present in small quantity while solvent is the bulk substance in which solute is dissolved and present in large quantity. Reagents are chemical compounds or mixture of compounds usually solutions employed in chemical analysis or for detection of biological constituents. A stock solution is a concentrated solution from which different types of working solutions can be prepared by simple dilution. Preparation of Standard Solutions is discussed in this chapter. In this chapter, questions for exercise and objective type questions are also provided.
