The book “Mom Mehra’s Orthopedics for MCI” describes in detail about orthopedics. Orthopedics is the branch of surgery that deals with the prevention or correction of injuries or disorders of the skeletal system and associated muscles, joints and ligaments. Chapter one discusses about the different imaging techniques that is used in orthopedics. Chapter two and three discusses about the infections and tuberculosis of bones and joints. Chapter four explains about the orthopedics oncology. Fifth and sixth chapters briefly describe about the fractures and advanced trauma life support. Seventh to tenth chapters discusses about the traumatologies of upper limb and lower limb and injuries of spine, pelvis and hip. The fracture shaft of femur, sports injury (collateral ligament harm), peripheral nerve damage (neuropraxia), carpal tunnel pressure and a few tests i. e. PCL, ACL, MCL, LCL and EMG test or treatments are also discussed in this book. Spondylolysis and spondylolisthesis are the neuromuscular issues. Joint disorders (ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis and rheumatoid joint pain), metabolic disorders (osteomalacia and arachnodactyly), pediatric orthopedics (Perthes disease, Keibocks disease, avascular necrosis) are additionally clarified in this book. At the end of each chapter, questions related to that particular chapter are also discussed.
