The Advances in Pediatric Dermatology depicts neonatal skin care, congenital infections in the newborn, ichthyosis, lumps and bumps, vascular lesions to even iatrogenic injuries and neoplastic and infiltrative disorders in the newborn period in a concise and easy-to-follow format. Birth marks, that indicate congenital disorders, are discussed, where an overview of important entities within vascular tumors or vascular malformations is emphasized. Iatrogenic cutaneous injuries to newborn skin are also discussed, which are vulnerable to injury and infections during routine procedures. Some of the important topics related to pediatric dermatology, such as laboratory diagnosis procedures, clinical features, epidemiology as well as treatment and management of neonatal skin, are elaborated.
