Hypertension: New Frontiers—A Textbook of Cardiology, is the first book of its kind in the form of a Textbook of Cardiology from India to the world. Hypertension represents a serious disease entity which is highly prevalent throughout the world. It has been estimated that more than 1 billion individuals in the world suffer from systemic hypertension with a vast majority of them living in the so called developing countries. This book comprised of 19 sections that include clinical, diagnostic methodology in hypertension, echocardiography in hypertension evaluation, hypertension to heart failure, hypertension to stroke, hypertension and aorta, hypertension and renovascular diseases, hypertension and intervention, hypertension and carotid artery disease, hypertension and peripheral vascular disease, clinical management strategies, pediatric cardiology and hypertension, metabolic syndrome and hypertension, nutrition and hypertension, cardio-oncology and hypertension, systemic inflammatory release syndrome with resistant hypertension, ECMO and hypertension, rehabilitation, and future directions, which are further divided into 149 chapters. Each chapter not only emphasizes the core science, but also provides an understanding of the concepts of hypertension, detection, and management. This book will be a valuable companion to every member of the medical profession.
