Abstract

Abstract

Tumor markers are important adjuvant diagnostic tool for different benign and malignant conditions and for prognostic purpose to see the effectiveness of therapy. Tumor markers are also important for diagnosis of recurrence and metastasis. Important and commonly done tumor markers like CEA, AFP,β-HCG, PSA, CA-125, CA 19-9, CA 15-3 ER, PR, HER/2 are described in detail including their normal value, low and high values found in different diseases.
