Abstract

Buttock liposuction is most often associated with trochanteric suction. The large protuberant buttocks found in some patients are often embarrassing to them. The actual deformity consists of an extensive protuberance and thickness of the entire buttocks. In case of hyperlordosis, the protrusion is anteroposterior and exaggerated by the patient’s body attitude. The deformity starts at the lumbar area and ends up at the gluteal crease often making the crease deeper and more exaggerated. In this chapter, the gluteal crease anatomy is described and the procedure of buttock liposuction is discussed with possible complications.
