The book "Recent Advances in Obstetrics & Gynecology" covers aspects of obstetrics, gynecology, contraception and newborn in a comprehensive manner. The book is divided into four sections. Section 1 is on obstetrics and covers aspects such as screening and diagnosis of fetal Down syndrome; screening for gestational diabetes; prevention of preterm labor; recurrent pregnancy loss; bariatric surgery in women of reproductive age; and intrapartum fetal heart rate monitoring. Section 2 is on neonatology and has a single chapter that discusses on newborn screening. Section 3 is on gynecology and covers aspects like prevention and early detection of cancer cervix; pelvic inflammatory disease; fertility sparing surgery in gynecologic malignancy; postmenopausal osteoporosis management; robotic surgery in gynecology; and ovarian stimulation protocols for IVF. Section 4 is on contraception and has a single chapter that discusses the recent advances in second trimester abortions.
