Abstract

Singh corneal channels are a part of the channel network that exists throughout the cornea. The Sinusoid of Singh is a large circular sinusoidal channel located lateral and anterior to the canal of Schlemm. The destination of ‘Singh channels’ is the ‘Sinusoid of Singh. Glaucoma surgery is preferred near that part of the limbus which is virgin, i.e. untouched before. Better results are obtained in the virgin conjunctiva, because the system of fluid drainage (lymphatics) is intact. Minimally invasive techniques to protect lymphatics are one that drains the anterior chamber and the other that drains the posterior chamber. In both case a new surgical tool, Fugo blade is used. Fugo blade provides a new fundamental energy, the plasma. In Singh microtrack filtration, anterior chamber is drained. In Singh transconjunctival Transciliary filtration the posterior chamber is drained. The posterior chamber drainage has important advantages: there are no anterior chamber related postoperative complications and choroidal detachment is very rare. If lymphatics and tenon capsule are undisturbed, the initial blebs are widespread and borderless. Such blebs reduce the tendency to tenon cyst formation.
