Abstract

Presentation of spinal infection varies from subtle to dramatic signs and symptoms and can often be nonspecific. Radiological assessment plays a very important part in confirmation and localization, as well as treatment planning and follow-up of the patient. While the traditional investigations like plain radiographs are often considered as a basic modality, newer investigations like CT, MRI and bone scan help to hasten the diagnosis and optimize good functional results.
