Abstract

Before initiating treatment, one must first assemble collective information regarding signs, symptoms, and history. This information is then combined with results from the clinical examination and tests and the process is diagnosis. Stated another way, diagnosis is the procedure of accepting a patient, recognizing that he has a problem, determining the cause of the problem, and developing a treatment plan that will solve or alleviate the problem.
