Estimation of Total Iron Binding capacity (TIBC) is a complementary test for serum iron estimation in cases of Iron studies. The procedure described here is very simple colorimetric method described by Ramsay in 1957. The procedure can easily be carried out with bare minimum cost even in a small laboratory. Since IDA is the most frequently seen anaemia specially in low economic sections of the population living in villages hence its investigation should also be easily available even at the primary health centres.
