The Fourth Edition of the book “Pediatric Nephrology” has been fully revised, updated and strengthened. In response to suggestions from readers and reviewers, some of the chapters have been expanded. Advances in the pathogenesis and mechanisms of disease have been briefly included but the emphasis remains on the diagnostic approach and management. The chapters on disorders of micturition, neonatal renal abnormalities and electrolyte and acid base disorders have been enlarged. The present edition also includes “Key Points” in every chapter, meant to highlight the more important aspects.
