The book Copeland and Afshari’s Principle and Practice of CORNEA (2 Volumes) covers the latest basic and clinical science, current up-to-date clinical research, worldwide epidemiology of the various corneal diseases, recently developed diagnostic techniques and surgical treatments of the various corneal ailments. New treatments discussed are antivirals, modern dry eye treatments, collagen crosslinking for keratoconus, scleral lenses for ocular surface disease, immunomodulation, etc. The book is divided into two volumes. Volume one covers topics like structure, physiology, anatomy, infectious etiologies, dystrophies, degenerations, tumors, and immunological and metabolic conditions of cornea. It also covers innovative advances that reshaped the management of cornea such as corneal biomechanics, PROSE treatment, gene therapy and biosynthetic alternative to human donor tissue. Volume two covers currently used surgical procedures with its emerging new techniques such as collagen crosslinking, Descemet’s stripping endothelial keratoplasty, Descemet’s membrane endothelial keratoplasty, deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty, intrastromal corneal implants, the use of LASIK and LASEK cataract surgery and corneal refractive surgery, the various femtosecond laser applications in anterior segment surgery and keratoprosthesis transplantation. All these new emerging surgical procedures are getting wide acceptance for the treatment of corneal diseases/disorders.

This book, Step by Step Reading Pentacam Topography, deals with pentacam topography. Corneal topography initially gained prominence in the sphere of refractive surgery for the main purpose of excluding potential candidates for RK or LASIK due to sub-clinical keratoconus. As technology developed, corneal topography developed into a therapeutic corneal tool wh...

Practical Handbook of OCT Rispoli Marco, Lumbroso Bruno

The book “Practical Handbook of OCT” is useful for better diagnosis and management of ocular conditions. Modern Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) generates high quality images and improves visualization of outer retina and choroid. Three-dimensional OCT enables assessment of multidimensional pathology. The present handbook with these facts in mind, teach a ...

Gonioscopy: A Text and Atlas (with Goniovideos) Dada Tanuj, Sharma Reetika, Sobti Amit

Glaucoma is the leading cause for irreversible blindness in the world and in India. It is estimated that currently nearly 70 million people are affected by glaucoma worldwide and 7 million are blind due to glaucoma. Treatment of glaucoma depends on the correct diagnosis and identification of cause of increased intraocular pressure. Gonioscopy becomes very im...

Ophthalmic Ultrasound Garg Ashok, Moreno Jose Maria Ruiz, Johnson T Mark, Arteaga Arturo Perez, Nassaralla Jr João J

The ultrasonic method is the best way to calculate the axial length and get the desired postoperative refraction before intraocular implantation. IOL power estimation formulae utilize additional preoperative biometric data of the eye, like, central anterior chamber depth (ACD), corneal diameter and the refractive error. ACD can be estimated by ultrasonograph...

Jaypee Gold Standard Mini Atlas Series® Fundus Fluorescein Angiography Arteaga Arturo Perez, Garg Ashok, Moreno José Maria Ruiz, Johnson T Matk

Fundus Fluorescein Angiography (FFA) is an invasive diagnostic test used commonly in posterior segment diseases to aid in diagnosis of retinal conditions and to identify fundal lesions. Sometimes FFA is also used in anterior segment to investigate anterior vasculature. There are very few quality Mini Atlas books on this subject to be used by ophthalmologists...
