The objective of this book is to introduce the SRB's manual of surgery. This book consists of 33 chapters that discusses general surgery, faciomaxillary diseases, oral cavity, salivary glands, neck, thyroid, parathyroids and adrenals, breast, peritoneum, abdominal tuberculosis, liver, gallbladder, spleen, pancreas, retroperitoneal space, differential diagnosis of mass abdomen, abdominal wall and umbilicus, hernia, oesophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, intestinal obstruction, appendix, rectum and anal canal, urology, neurosurgery, thorax, adjuvant therapy, anaesthesia, advanced imaging methods, and operative surgery. This manual has been updated. The newer concepts of treatment and staging of malignancies have been documented. Extensive corrections, elaboration of a few topics, and updating of staging and grading of malignant conditions as per new standards have been discussed in this book. Miscellaneous chapter containing a list of interesting new developments in surgery and uniquely new topics like fascinating signs, misnomers, triads have been discussed. The text and the style of writing is easy to understand and to remember, the accompanying diagrams and photographs are perceivable and unforgettable—a combination which is so very important to a student facing theory and practical examinations.
